Step 2: Hull Assembly

The first step in assembling the hull is to lay out the individual resin bar armor sections and glue them to the hull with super glue. Notice that the first four resin bar armor sectiosn do not have the supports on the top.

Please note that there is some space between the bar armor sections. Line the armor up with the rectangles on top of the hull and glue into place. Next lay out the 8 vertical bumpers. These bumpers are only attached to the port side of the boat as shown here. The kit instructions are incorrect and show them on both sides.

Next you will need to build the upper hull bar armor supports on the bow as shown here with the resin parts supplied in the kit.

Next take the styrene rod and bend/glue into position as shown here.

Here is a shot of the completed bar armor added to the bow.

Next position and glue the following parts on the bow as shown here.

Add all of the vents and other parts like the horizontal bumpers to the upper hull as shown here.

Notice the position of the vents, locker, rope ties etc. on the rear deck.
