Step 1: Deckhouse Assembly

Correct placement of the first aid box and life ring in the engine compartment area. See page 108 of Vietnam Ironclads for additional details of the engine compartment.
Construction of the canopy supports over the Coxswains Station using the kit supplied styrene rod. Use a pencil to mark where the supports will go on the deckhouse using the canopy as a guide.
During the casting process some parts, particularly the canopies, have flattened out to some degree. To regain the correct curved shape dip the part in boiling water for a couple of seconds and quickly remove. Then slightly bend to the desired shape before the part quickly cools. *WARNING, boiling water can burn. Assistance from an adult is mandatory for this tip*
