Notice the split-hatch on the deck, located just ahead of the deckhouse. This was constructed from simple sheet styrene.

I added a styrene hull chine to the bow. The chine kept water from splashing over the deck when ASPB's maneuvered at high speed.

Modification of the forward Mark 48 turret from a Mod 0 configuration to a Mod 2 configuration, which accommodated twin M2HB MG's.

Details of the forward Mark 48, Mod 2 gun turret. Notice the handle added to the hatch and sighting arm. The midship Mark 48 turret, located on the deckhouse, was in the Mod 0 configuration containing a single 20mm Mark 16 cannon.
