PBR Restoration Project
PBR 7334 Bridge

Stripping the old paint from the boat siren. The model found on Vietnam Era PBRs was the Sireno ED-1. This particular siren has an unusual copper shell.

First I prepared the copper surface for painting by applying a self-etching primer.

After that was dry the siren was given several coats of Marine Corps Green semi-gloss paint.

The data plate was cleaned and screwed back into position.

The siren mounted on the cabin.

The running lights and clamshell vents mounted on the cabin.

Another view of the cabin as I add the hand rail extension.
